Smog Test & Repair Technician

Jim Brangham Auto Repair has proudly served the Coachella Valley since 1994. We are a busy, well-established STAR Certified Smog Test & Repair Facility looking for an experienced Smog Test & Repair Technician to join our growing team.

If you're a dependable technician who enjoys diagnostics, emissions repair, and working in a professional environment with a strong reputation, we'd love to meet you.

What You'll Do:

Perform California Smog Inspections.
Diagnose and repair emissions-related failures.
Perform drivability and Check Engine Light diagnostics.
Complete repairs accurately the first time.
Communicate findings clearly with our Service Advisors.
Follow shop procedures and quality control processes.
Stay current on California emissions regulations.

Qualifications:

Current California Smog Repair License required.
ASE Certifications are a plus (L1 highly desired but not required).
Strong diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work independently while contributing to a team.
Valid California Driver's License with a clean driving record.
Must be at least 21 years old (insurance requirements).
Must pass pre-employment and random drug testing.
